i'm going to go ahead and post the rest of the story so far so if my computer crashes i won't lose my story, so here:
But I am smart and that’s not a joke. When the rare, occasional chance comes up that the teachers let us work with partners, people always choose me, whether I like it or not. Sometimes, I work on my own, since I find it easier to finish something quickly by myself, rather than having to explain it to other people and wait for them to catch up. Do you know how annoying it is to be cut off from extra reading time? That’s another thing about me. Whenever I have spare time, you can almost always catch me in the library or reading a book. You can most definitely count on me reading a book if it’s about some Chinese girl that’s just moved from China that is super smart and is having a hard time fitting in. That sounds just like me.
You see, I moved from China when I was 4, so legally, I’m still a Chinese citizen. I don’t see why it makes a difference after you get your green card so it’s easier for you to travel out of the country. Oh, and you can’t vote, but I can’t vote anyway because I’m under 18. Because I’m Chinese, I also speak Chinese. Do you know how hard it is? To read a newspaper, you have to know about 7000 words. But my friends think it’s cool, so I try to teach them. Not a good idea. You have to get the tone exactly right, or it’s a completely different word. It’s like piano. One note wrong and the the whole thing goes wrong.
That’s another thing I do. Piano. I also ice skate, make crafts, and computer paint. Computer painting is actually just doing a lot of cool virtual scribbling. Crafting and computer painting are just for fun, and I have classes for the others, even though crafting is also a way I make money. Piano is once a week, and ice skating is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Ok, that’s enough about me. I’ll tell you about the mini business my friends and I run now. Like I said, I have 5 best friends, June, Ruby, Dawn, Samantha, and Molly. Lucky for us, we all live in the same neighborhood, so we have more time for our club and job, which is kinda like a mini crafts shop. We make all kinds of things, from placecards to flower arrangements to jewlery. We have a couple of shelves in Dawn’s house that we use to display things, a cart from Ruby to take our crafts from home to home, and a ton of supplies in Molly’s house. We get ideas everywhere, from the internet to books. Of course, I do most of the book research, since I’m in the library already. Our most recent project has been decorations for a summer party. We even dressed up as hula girls for part of it. That project alone toook about 2 weeks to finish, even though we made about 20 dollars each. It may not sound like a lot, but for most projects, we only get a couple dollars each.

hey there! i'm going 2 try to post a part of i'm book i'm writing here every day, but i dont know how long i can keep this up. here it goes! p.s.:i know my blog name is different than my title, but i didn't decide 2 post my story here till after i named it.one more thing:this story is completly fictional.
As Different As A and Z
Chapter 1(or part of it at least)
Hi. My name is Zhangyi Li. I'm 13 years old, will attend Sycamore High this fall, am Chinese, and tiny. Really. I'm only about 4 feet 6 inches, so all my friends (except for a couple of fellow small ones), are at least a head taller than me. It doesn’t exactly help that I’m a year younger than every one else because I started school early. That’s one weird thing about me.
Another weird thing about me is the amazing amount of best friends I have. Okay, maybe 5 best friends isn’t a lot, but it seems that you’re only supposed to have one best friend, especially with all those dazzling necklaces and bracelets that have hearts broken that say “Best Friends” on them. Besides, it seems like everyone else has one best friend. Of course, I have lots of other friends too, many of them really nice and smart, like me. Just kidding.
All for today! More tomorrow!
